A GLIMPSE INTO THE NIGHT

2024

Designed for photographer Alex Puliatti, A Glimpse into the Night is a visual publication that captures the transient spirit of rave culture through image and text. I developed this project’s complete graphic concept, layout, and art direction, pairing Alex’s analogue photography with an anonymous raver’s manifesto sourced from an early 2000s online forum.

The publication traces moments from the final season of Printworks London, where artists like The Martinez Brothers, Black Coffee, and Peggy Gou performed. It also spotlights emerging talents, including Fiona Zanetti and me. Alex’s cinematic documentation of these nights reflects an intimate, euphoric, and constantly in flux scene.

The manifesto gently runs through the work, allowing you to stop momentarily. It offers reflection, rebellion, and reverence, verbalising nightlife’s political and emotional weight as more than entertainment, a shared form of resistance and belonging.
